Sore Throat During Night

monitoring

In this paper, we have included a map of country with orange dots in , the route we have come since our arrival, May 16, 2008, after 30 000 km a second card with the Tasmanian ... so you can follow us more closely.

It starts so much time doing that when we went looking at an American movie, and Quon sees the cars roll into the right lane, it is bogus and you point the finger and saying: "Look! They drive on the right! "

Melbourne is one of the first cities to have been colonized Australia and was founded in 1830. It is surrounded by skyscrapers that once again we appear artificial but do have their place. It is we who are not in our place. Like a good tourist, Gab was the only''in board shorts and flip-flops''. Everyone was dressed with clean pants, shirts and closed shoes ... despite the temperature of 3 5 + C! There are several large old buildings made of stone mixed with other very recent . A nice mix. We felt there was better than when we arrived in Perth. Unfortunately, it's not where we worked there. We walked into town two days with a visit to the museum, local market where we found the beer Unibroue, and the favorite to Karo: the McAuslan Apricot-! We fell from our seat (? Eh?).

After leaving Marie-Andree at Melbourne airport, we saw our living space increase in the van. Three was good but two is better, exception. Despite our small space, Mary, thank you for your visit! We had a great time with you even though it's been way too much!

Visiting Phillip Island, an island located at 1h30 drive south-east of Melbourne, was imminent. This island is famous for the circuit Formula One in Melbourne, its beautiful beaches, fishing, surfing, but for most people, you must go to the "Penguin Parade". As in many places in this corner of the world, the small "blue penguins" out of the ocean to the arrival of the night. They link on the beach and analyze if there is danger and once the "OK!" increased by bands of + - 10, they rushed into the bushes where their little lair awaits them with their newborn, sometimes within a few hundred meters! The parents split the task to bring food to the baby. During a time of year, small stay all day in their holes until the parents. We saw one that, whenever a penguin happening, he cried because he wanted some food but if it was not their son, for the adult biting into the bottom saying, "Oops, Loose me, chu not your mother! ". Little did that every penguin was passing ... the poor. They are so cute! And so vulnerable: it was a few inches from them and they seem to not see us! I wonder what it tastes like a penguin? He! He! He! C't'une joke! Again, there was no surf so it was time to catch fish . A big this time! It's always a little weird to go in water with a harpoon and emerge minutes later with a wriggling fish and fishermen who look at me. The Formula One circuit is in an empty landscape that was found between two fields of sheep ... It's weird to have a sport where urban landscape so vast.

The day before our departure was particularly difficult in Melbourne with a temperature reaching 46.4 Celsius .... IN THE SHADE! There is no denying it was disgusting. Imagine the difference between 20 and 30. Heat again until ca 40. Add 6 degrees ... It becomes abstract eh? We can tell you it's like being in an oven. Not surprising that today the forest fires were ignited. The movement of air created by such a temperature is so high that any cigarette ignites loot and burn up all that is around. The winds were stronger than 50Km / h, that's for sure.

Tasmania: is from Melbourne that ferries depart to Tasmania and we decided to go check it out for ... say 3 weeks. It has done so much good to leave the record warmth of the "main land" Australian to head a few hundred Miles south. Our attention first to the island was like a new country: mountains, forests, pastures and cool climate ... Ahhhhh. Our 1st night he was near zero and our second, -3! What happiness (which is obviously Gab writes ... did you guess?). We did not know really where to begin our journey while we were watching the weather and where were the swells for surfing. Direction west coast! What's better than a free camping spot overlooking a surf spot constant! Too great. Sorry girls, no photos were beautiful surfers ... there was none.

Surfing Marawah has, on one day a small swell

Do you know the Tasmanian Devil ? This little animal is unique to Tasmania and as several other species, is endangered. Despite the fact that it is an animal rather night, here it is easy to observe since found in several dead on the roadside. But like us, you surely would like to see one alive rather than dead, eh?! Well we were lucky because one night we camped and talked, Karo has completely stopped breathing and lost completely the power of speech by pointing out. We watched this little Devil all intrigued and tacked to visit the garbage so appealing. There is no bigger than a cat. Tasmanian Devil's approach is unique. It is a kind of gallop. We no longer see the cartoons of Bugs Bunny in the same way in future.

North of the island, visiting a village on the basis of what they call "The Nut "

Most people who visit Tasmania to visit the park center: the Cradle Mountain Lake St Clair National Park. A famous march 6 to 10 days is highly recommended and they restrict access to only 30 people per day in their charging $ 150 per person. We wanted to go but everything was booked for months, so it was only a few sections. Let's the bright side, we'll see lots of other things for days not used in walking. The park is accessed first by the north, crossed paths with some incredible views. The summit of Cradle Mountain on the north side of the park gave a nice overview with 360 degree views and will have earned big sweat of the climb. We were very lucky weather perspective with blue skies especially considering the average annual precipitation surrounding the 2800mm!

To visit the park's south, since they could not walk, they followed the road that goes around the west, stopping on a flat surf spot. Once again, Gab went fishing but this time to return with a "Abalone", a large mollusk preview beforehand in a book with a big shell (Paua Shell). People from instead advised us a method to prepare this new setting and in retrospect, it's a bit like scallops but corosse heavy scallop (Gilles, excluding of the body)! In short, delicious even for us who trippons not seafood

The South Park has brought us some rain, a 40km walk in the woods overnight, another cute top ( 4825 feet) on Mount Acropolis with again stunning 360 degree views all around.

Hobart, Tasmania's capital with 130,000 inhabitants (2002), is a beautiful city and is actually the first where I see myself living in Australia. Dan s backyard, there is the full Mt Wellington and climbing (sport and trad, but mostly t), there really is no traffic, the ocean is at the door and you can also go skiing nearby (nothing special but good). We took the opportunity to shop, full of water, visit the mechanic, do laundry, visit, shop and finally go online to learn the good news: Julia is pregnant with Max! Congratulations again!

Bruny Island south of Hobart. Surfing sickening, other beautiful landscapes and vision ... an albino wallaby! (In fact, we were told that it is a species unique to Bruny Island ...)

We have made a step and several encounters with snakes and sticks instead of moving ... It is therefore now we have several meetings with snakes. Basically, to ensure not to get bitten, it has come to the following: is made worse when walking Gab before he sees a snake, it is expected that stops bad s 'to go. It works! What? if they are poisonous? Of course! Question, and potentially deadly!

The East Coast Tasmania well recognized in the world of climbing for its monoliths on the edge of the ocean would be our next target. Unfortunately, the weather started against us and we could not climb as much as we wanted. We did get to spend a visit to beautiful wall surrounded by water: The MOAI . Thrills guaranteed. To access this monolith, it took 1:15 to walk three reminders and a cross for a rise of 35m. But what a beautiful spot ... You be the judge.

Without good weather, a visit to Port Arthur , an ancient village built by prisoners was imminent. This village, situated on a peninsula, is surrounded Ocean, near Hobart, accessible by boat and surrounded by mature forest. Getting away was virtually impossible. The prisoners were used to produce timber, boat building, producing shoes, mine ore and many other things from the 1830s. Only the criminals who had already served time in prison and committed a second offense visited this "prison". They had only one coat 24/24 and lived in them, wet and cold at times, by other dry but not clean. The village became a prolific super thanks to the exploitation of prisoners, but has quietly disappeared with fire the bush, and many other factors. Now, only tourists visiting the ruins left over from the 1880s.

Freycinet National Park would be our last "must see" in Tasmania with the renowned Wineglass Bay . Again, a breathtaking landscape with the ocean on both sides of a strip of land connecting the peaks of granite climbing. From the summit of Mt Amos, one could try to take a nice picture for you better represent. The waters in this area are of outstanding clarity and perfect for snorkeling / fishing for Gab. Unfortunately, after making nets catch of the day, Gab has lost his balance and, with knife in hand, tried to lean back on a rock to regain balance but unfortunately, the blade has penetrated deep enough in the palm. Result, 3 stitches, and no climbing, no visit to the ocean for a good week (or the time it'll heal). It falls down badly because that is what we had planned our route so we returned to the "main land" Australian.

With that, we'll keep you posted with the next section.

soon!
